04 - A choice, not an oversight
We could have pursued RNCP registration and Qualiopi certification. The files exist, they are demanding, and many schools we respect, including the ones that trained us, handle them very well. We chose another path, out of consistency rather than ease. An official framework is decided in advance and applies to everyone the same way. Our craft, by contrast, begins with an hour of conversation: understanding where you come from and what you are really after, then tailoring a path to your measure. What we do not have validated by a registration, we prove otherwise, through a practice genuinely carried out and the professional recognitions that go with it. A file can be prepared in advance. A meeting cannot.
05 - Knowledge is proven, not recited
You don't become someone who accompanies others by reciting knowledge: you become one by living it. The diploma doesn't certify a program completed, but a practice genuinely carried out and the clarity with which you examine it - what we call embodied knowledge.
06 - Truth before the polished narrative
The black book is not a portfolio: it's a space of professional truth, where doubts, risky calls, and feedback that stung or illuminated get written down. A practice only grows from what you actually went through - never from a story rebuilt after the fact.
07 - Reflecting, so as not to repeat
Twenty years of experience can just be the same year repeated twenty times, if you never reflect on your practice. We train reflective practitioners: professionals who look back on what they do, question their assumptions, and learn as much from their successes as their failures.
08 - Accompanying is not saving
Support is never imposed: it's offered. The practitioner creates the space where each person finds their own answers, without standing in for them or pulling them somewhere they don't want to go. Knowing when to step back and hold the right distance is a discipline, not a lack of commitment.
09 - The humility of not-knowing
What makes a practitioner sound is a genuine posture of not-knowing: asking questions without already knowing the answer you're steering toward. If you know in advance where you're leading the other person, questioning becomes manipulation - and they feel it instantly.
10 - You don't learn to accompany others alone
You don't become a practitioner alone in front of a screen. You become one by being accompanied yourself - by a mentor, by a community of peers, by testing your practice against reality. It's the perspective of others that widens what you can see on your own.
