The promise

What you'll actually be able to do.

By the end of this advanced specialization, you hold together what most practices approach separately: flow, deep relaxation and trance as three regions of a single territory, that of states of consciousness, which you modulate through attention and activation, with the body as the lever.

You understand absorption, that shared engine, and you can spot a person's disposition without turning it into a verdict. You conduct a deep relaxation, you recognize and hold alert activation - that threshold of a relaxed body and a lively mind -, and you act on the state through breath, tone and posture, without ever forcing it. You induce and support a trance, from light to deep, you deepen absorption and steer it toward the flow of action or toward inner work, then you make the exit safe and refer to care when it is needed. Two requirements hold the pathway from one end to the other: no esoteric drift, and the boundary with care, kept everywhere.

  • Situate altered states of consciousness and their variables: attention, activation, the body.
  • Understand absorption as the shared engine of trance, flow and relaxation.
  • Set a non-esoteric frame and hold the boundary with care.
  • Conduct a deep relaxation as a way in, and recognize alert activation.
  • Work the body - breath, tone, posture - as the lever of the state.
  • Induce and support a trance, from light to deep.
  • Understand flow, set up its conditions and mobilize it as a tool.
  • Make the exit safe, integrate the experience and refer to care.
Prerequisites

What you need to start

An advanced pathway, a specialization of a specialization. It assumes a relevant prior background - at minimum the Hypnosis practitioner level, or the Mindful presence specialization, or Mental preparation - and real practical experience. The experiential work, body and mind, is mandatory: this pathway is lived as much as it is studied. The positioning diagnostic checks these prerequisites before you enter.

The program

A path built step by step.

01

Understand states of consciousness and absorption

Situate altered states of consciousness and the two variables that describe them, attention and activation. Understand absorption, that trait which draws trance, flow and meditation together, and spot a person's disposition without reducing it to a score. Set, from the outset, the frame - plain and non-esoteric - and the boundary with care.

02

Descend and hold: relaxation and alert activation

Conduct a deep relaxation that lowers activation and opens the door. Recognize and stabilize alert activation, that threshold of a relaxed body and a lively mind. Work the body - breath, tone, posture - as the lever of the state, without ever forcing it.

03

Open and steer: advanced trance and absorption

Induce and support a trance, from light to deep. Deepen absorption and steer it toward the flow of action or toward inner work. Then make the exit safe, fully reassociate, integrate the experience, and refer to a health professional when what surfaces goes beyond the frame.

04

Mobilize flow: from absorption to action

Understand flow and its conditions - the balance of challenge and skill, a clear goal, immediate feedback. Set up and protect the ground that favors it, without forcing it. Then use it as a tool, letting absorption slide toward action, anchoring the momentum and articulating it with trance.

Zoom in on the content

One example of method and one case-study excerpt per module - taken directly from the program's courses.

01

States of consciousness and absorption

Three regions of a single territoryAbsorption, a single doorSetting the frame without mysticism
Method in focus

Describing a state by two variables, attention and activation, rather than by a vocabulary of passage or channel. A plain map that situates relaxation, flow and trance without lending them any degree of the sacred.

Case in focus

Two people close their eyes in the same room, listen to the same voice. One tips over clearly, the other has felt nothing. What separates them is neither will nor intelligence, but a disposition to absorption that the practitioner learns to spot without turning it into a judgment.

02

Relaxation and alert activation

Relaxation as a way inHolding the thresholdThe body as lever
Method in focus

Acting on the state through the most directly accessible command, the lengthened exhale, rounded out by tone and posture. You don't order a state, you set up the bodily conditions that make it possible.

Case in focus

A tense man, who keeps saying he never knew how to let go, finally learns to descend. Sessions later, the problem has flipped: he crosses the threshold and sinks into drowsiness. The whole art becomes holding him at the edge, body settled and mind lively, rather than letting him drift down.

03

Advanced trance and absorption

Inducing and ratifyingDeepening and steeringSecuring, exiting, referring
Method in focus

A naturalistic and permissive approach: the practitioner doesn't command the trance, they create the conditions, follow what comes, and only ratify the signs they actually observe.

Case in focus

A very absorbable practitioner descends too fast, deeper than the work calls for. The right move is not to deepen but to hold back, to dose each notch, and to keep the person at the right depth rather than let them drift toward the bottom.

04

Flow, from absorption to action

Understanding flowSetting up the conditionsFlow as a tool
Method in focus

Bringing together the conditions of flow - a challenge tuned to skill, a clear goal, immediate feedback - then letting absorption slide toward action along a gentle slope, without breaking the state to name a task.

Case in focus

An illustrator finds her momentum again, then loses it the moment she's asked to pick up a plate left unfinished: the goal, too heavy, wakes the judge that depth had lulled to sleep. The practitioner lowers the challenge to its minimum and anchors the momentum so she can call it back on her own.

How it works

100 % remote, at your own pace - never alone.

A fully remote program whose core is experiential: the body-and-mind work is practiced here, not merely read.

Online learning

Content available at any time: material on states of consciousness and absorption, relaxation and induction techniques, conducting flow, and annotated case studies where you follow support cases unfolding in full - including the moments when you need to know how to keep things safe, stop and refer.

Personalized coaching

A Synodeo mentor supports you over video throughout the program, to the tune of two hours included, alongside unlimited e-mail support. On such sensitive terrain, they pay particular attention to one point: the plainness of the frame and the keeping of the boundary with care, session after session.

The black book

You document in it your personal practice and the support cases you conduct during the program, along with the reflective analysis you draw from them: what you observed, what you decided, where you hesitated. It's the matrix for your diploma.

Lived practice

No validation on paper alone: your diploma rests on states you have learned to set up, to hold and to close, on real support cases you have conducted and known how to keep in the right register.

Assessment

Validated by your practice, not by an exam.

Continuous validation

Your personal practice and your first conducts of a state - relaxation, alert activation, trance, flow - are followed and validated across the program by your referent, with particular emphasis on the plainness of the frame and the soundness of the induction and the exit.

Final validation

Using your black book, you present a complete support case you have conducted, from setting the frame to the secured exit, defended over video before a Synodeo mentor. The assessment focuses on the rigor of the frame, the accuracy of your conduct through the body, and your ability to hold the boundary with care and to refer.

Diploma & certification

A proven diploma, solid recognition.

At the end of the program, Synodeo awards you the diploma of Advanced practitioner in trance, flow and absorption. It doesn't certify attendance: it validates competencies actually demonstrated in your black book, tested in real support work and developed with your referent.

This diploma is part of a dual-recognition model. On one hand, a professional certification backed by an external professional body, which situates your competencies against industry standards. On the other, a professional diploma awarded by Synodeo, which puts the school's own responsibility behind the quality of your training and assessment.

Synodeo designs its own curricula and trains with full pedagogical autonomy; professional recognition, meanwhile, rests on a third party external to the profession. The same rigor runs from the first case study to the final defense.

Frequently asked questions

What people often ask us.

Do you already need to be practicing to take this specialization?
Yes. This is an advanced pathway, a specialization of a specialization. It assumes a relevant prior background - at minimum the Hypnosis practitioner level, or Mindful presence, or Mental preparation - and real practical experience. The experiential work, body and mind, is mandatory: this pathway is lived as much as it is studied. The positioning diagnostic checks these prerequisites before you enter.
How are trance, flow and absorption connected?
The pathway starts from one observation: flow, deep relaxation and trance are not three rival techniques but three regions of a single territory, that of states of consciousness, which we modulate through attention and activation, with the body as the lever. Absorption, the capacity to let yourself be entirely taken up by an object, is their shared engine, the best documented on the hypnosis side. We are not chasing three separate skills, we are cultivating one.
Is this work a form of esotericism?
No, and that requirement is held from one end to the other. Altered states of consciousness are real phenomena, described by psychology and physiology, with no recourse to mysticism. The pathway teaches you to name plainly what is happening, to tell the felt fact apart from its interpretation, and to reframe a request tinged with esotericism without humiliating the person.
Where does the boundary with care lie?
Advanced trance and deep relaxation touch the boundary of care: they can bring up material that overflows the scope of support. The pathway teaches you to recognize these signals, to keep things safe, to bring someone cleanly out of a state, and to refer them to a health professional when it is needed. Supporting states of consciousness is not treating: this line is worked at every stage.
